For fun, we talked Neal into breaking out the water colors and doing these special cards. Neal's paintings sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars but these are much smaller and more affordable. To do them, Neal must lay down the water colors before he inks in black. If he were to try to add water color after the lines were done, the black ink would run. The scans really don't do the art justice..
